Will Riddell - Percussion Ensemble / Front Ensemble Technician

 

William Riddell is an active clinician, arranger and private teacher living in the DC area. He is best known for his work as the front ensemble technician for both the Mighty Marching Chargers and the Chantilly Indoor Ensemble, and also serves as arranger and director for the Chantilly Concert Percussion Ensemble.

Will has studied under and performed with some of the most prestigious names in percussion, including: Tony Cirone, Jeff Queen, Paul Rennick, Jim Ancona, Andrew Beall, and many others. In 2004, at the Percussive Arts Society VA/DC Chapter’s Annual Day of Percussion, he presented a clinic for solo marimbists with Robert Van Sice. His arrangements have been played by the University of Tennessee Percussion Ensemble, the UT Pep Band, the UMass Marimba Band, and the Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corps. Will is an endorser for Remo drumheads, Innovative Percussion sticks and mallets, and Zildjian cymbals.
