The Virginia Music Educators Association (VMEA) and The Virginia Band and Orchestra Director's Association (VBODA) provide this opportunity for students to compete and then perform on an individual basis. The entire activity is in two stages: 1.) The Audition 2.) The Event. Students who audition successfully, are eligible to participate in the event. Students that score the highest in the audition (the exact number for this category of achievement is announced at the All District Event), are eligible to audition for the All Virginia Band & Orchestra Event. Acceptance into this Event basically says that a student is among the best in the State of Virginia!
