REMEMBER...
Our uniforms are a representation of our band, our school, and our community. Please show respect when wearing your uniform by acting like a professional at all times. You never know who is watching or judging our behavior or actions.

CONCERT UNIFORMS 2008-2009
Each student has been issued and is responsible for any jacket, pants, vest, bowtie, dress, skirt, and/or cummerbund until it is collected at the end of this school year. The full vests order has arrived and will be handed out during marching band practice and/or class this week. Any student who has NOT been fitted for their concert uniform needs to speak to Mr. Taylor or Mr. Ross. Please check, before the 11/18 concert, that each student has the correct uniform pieces based on which group they participate and complete any hemming that is needed.   

UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
Symphonic and Concert (Boys) --- jacket, pants, bowtie and full vest
Jazz Ensemble and Workshop Jazz (Boys) --- jacket, pants, bowtie and full vest
 Percussion Ensemble (Boys) --- jacket (to be sent home with full vest this week), pants, bowtie, and full vest
Concert and Percussion Ensemble (Girls) --- skirt, bolero vest, cummerbund and bowtie
Jazz (Girls) --- pants, full vest and bowtie
Symphonic (Girls) --- full length dress (pearl necklaces will be handed out and collected at each performance)

ADDITIONAL UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
These are items that students must supply.
1. Mid-calf length black socks (with pants only)
2. Full-length black hosiery (Concert and Percussion Ensemble girls)
3. Full length or knee high black hosiery (Symphonic girls)
4. Black dress shoes (ALL students)
5. White wing-collar, pleated front tuxedo shirt (ALL except Symphonic girls)
UNIFORM HEMMING & CARE
1. Hang up your concert wear pieces properly.
2. Hem jacket sleeves, pants, skirt, or dress with a hand needle and black thread only
3. DO NOT cut any fabric when hemming
4. DO NOT staple hem
5. DO NOT tape hem or use any sticky hem tape
6. DO NOT press or iron


UNIFORM CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
Jackets are dry cleaned every summer before they are re-issued. Pants, skirts, dresses, and vests have also been laundered over the summer by volunteers and should not need laundering. If soiled, all items (except jackets) can be washed separately, in cold water, on a gentle cycle. Dry these garments on medium heat and remove from dryer as soon as cycle ends.
